There are certain brands that don’t just sell products—they sell a way of living. Working at Ralph Lauren—between the Beverly Hills store on Rodeo Drive and the RRL location on Sunset Boulevard—I was exposed to two very different worlds. The clientele, the energy, even the way people shopped felt distinct. And yet, there was a clear thread connecting them: everyone was drawn to the same idea of living—one rooted in layering, in storytelling, and in the art of blending the old with the new.
What I didn’t expect was how much that perspective would shape the way I see and style a home.
Because at Ralph Lauren, nothing is random. Every detail is intentional. Every space tells a story. And that philosophy has stayed with me in everything I create today with Styled & Spritzed.

1. A Home Should Tell a Story
At Ralph Lauren, every table, every shelf, every vignette felt like it belonged to someone specific—even though it was a retail space. It wasn’t just “pretty.” It was personal. That taught me that good design isn’t about copying what you see online—it’s about creating a feeling. A well-styled space should make you wonder who lives there, what they love, and how they spend their time. When I build Styled & Spritzed sets, I’m always thinking: What story does this tell?
2. Layering Is Everything
One of the most defining elements of Ralph Lauren interiors is layering—textures, materials, finishes, and time periods all working together. Think: polished wood + soft linen, aged brass + crisp glass, structured pieces + organic elements. Nothing feels flat or one-dimensional. This completely changed how I approach styling. Instead of focusing on individual items, I think in layers—because that’s what creates depth, warmth, and that effortlessly elevated look.
3. Mixing High and Low Creates Magic
Not everything at Ralph Lauren is over-the-top formal—and that’s what makes it feel livable. There’s always a balance: something refined paired with something relaxed. That contrast is what keeps a space from feeling too precious or too staged. It’s also the philosophy behind Styled & Spritzed—creating spaces that feel elevated, but still like you can actually live in them.
4. Neutrals Are Never Boring
If anything, Ralph Lauren proved the opposite. Layers of creams, browns, blacks, and soft tones can feel incredibly rich when done right. The key is variation—different textures, finishes, and subtle contrast. A neutral space doesn’t rely on color to stand out—it relies on detail. This is why so many of my sets lean into timeless palettes. They’re designed to work in your home long-term, not just for a moment.
5. Styling Is About Restraint
One of the most surprising lessons: knowing when to stop. Every display felt full, but never crowded. Styled, but never chaotic. That balance is intentional—and it’s what makes a space feel calm and elevated instead of overwhelming. Editing is just as important as adding.
6. Details Make the Space
At Ralph Lauren, the smallest details were never overlooked: a perfectly placed book, a glass that catches the light, a tray that grounds everything. Individually, they might seem insignificant—but together, they create the feeling of a finished space. That’s exactly what Styled & Spritzed is built on. Not just filling a space—but finishing it.
7. Bringing It Into Your Home
You don’t need a full redesign to create a space that feels elevated. Sometimes it’s as simple as: adding a few intentional layers, refining your palette, or styling one small area really well. That’s where everything starts. And it’s why I created Styled & Spritzed—to make that feeling accessible, effortless, and beautifully done for you.
